Bobby Patterson, the Computer Warrior, debuted in EAGLE in April 1985. Originally titled ‘The Ultimate Warrior’, Bobby was pitted against 10 computer games to save his friend, Martin, who was trapped in the ‘Nightmare Zone’.

Eventually, Bobby completed the 10 games - many of which were real computer games and often used as prize-giveaways by EAGLE - and gained the title, ‘Computer Warrior’.

The series was extended beyond the first 10 challenges and Bobby was set further tasks battling the creatures of the ‘Nightmare Zone’ and finally being recruited as a champion for the Warlord Baal.

The majority of the games featured in ‘Computer Warrior’ were real and published in the UK by U.S. Gold, including ‘Street Fighter II’, one of the top ten highest-grossing video games of all time.
