The Ro-Busters were created by Pat Mills and Carlos Pino, and originally appeared in STARLORD, vol. 11, in May 1978. Mike first drew Ro-Busters in November, 1978, for the story ‘Baptism of Fire’.

Ro-Busters were a squad of second-hand or discarded robots, and this work features Hammerstein, a former soldier; Ro-Jaws, a sewer droid; and Little Mo, a domestic droid. The latter was created by Mike.

Whilst trying to escape to a secret planet where robots could be free, Hammerstein, Ro-Jaws and Little Mo are hiding in the woods and meet a local inhabitant.
